BEF 2026 Facilitates Business Matching to Strengthen Cross-Border Partnerships
8 October 2026

The Borneo Economic Forum (BEF) 2026 in Kuching, Sarawak, provided a platform for businesses and stakeholders across Borneo to explore new partnerships and investment opportunities through its Business-to-Business (B2B) Matching session on 8 October 2026.
The initiative aimed to connect businesses from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and Malaysia, encouraging direct engagement, identifying areas of mutual interest, and opening opportunities for commercial collaboration across the subregion.
Building on the Forum’s broader agenda of strengthening Borneo’s economic integration, the B2B Matching session complemented discussions on cross-border trade, investment, industrial cooperation, and connectivity. It offered participating businesses an opportunity to explore potential partnerships and consider how complementary regional strengths could translate into practical business opportunities.
The session reflects the Borneo Economic Community’s commitment to advancing business-driven cooperation and fostering stronger connections among the private sectors of Brunei Darussalam, Kalimantan, Sabah, and Sarawak.
As BEC looks ahead to the 3rd Borneo Economic Forum in Nusantara in 2027, business matching and partnership-building will remain important in translating regional dialogue into tangible opportunities and supporting a more connected and competitive Borneo economy.
