The Borneo Economic Community (BEC) announced that Nusantara, Indonesia, will host the 3rd Borneo Economic Forum in 2027, marking the next chapter in efforts to strengthen economic integration and cross-border cooperation across Borneo.

The announcement reflects BEC’s continued commitment to bringing together governments, businesses, investors, and institutional partners from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and Malaysia to explore shared economic opportunities and advance regional collaboration.

Building on the inaugural forum in Banjarmasin in 2024 and the 2026 edition in Kuching, Sarawak, the upcoming forum in Nusantara will continue the dialogue on Borneo’s economic potential, with a focus on strengthening connectivity, facilitating trade and investment, and developing cross-border partnerships.

As Borneo’s economic landscape continues to evolve, the 3rd Borneo Economic Forum will provide another platform for stakeholders to turn shared priorities into practical initiatives and contribute to a more connected, competitive, and inclusive regional economy.
